Product description:
Powerfully loosens mucus and facilitates coughing thanks to its high salt concentration. This hypertonic saline solution is recommended for cystic fibrosis, COPD, and bronchiectasis. Studies demonstrate its effectiveness and tolerability.
Powerfully loosens mucus and facilitates coughing. Reimbursable for the treatment of cystic fibrosis from the age of 6 (in Germany, AMR Annex V). For infants, children, and adults. Sterile and preservative-free.
Indication:
Increases secretion mobilization in the respiratory tract in cases of mucus solidification (cystic fibrosis, acute viral bronchiolitis, bronchitis) due to its osmotic effect.
Contraindications:
If you suffer from a hypersensitive bronchial system, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use. Only mix MucoClear 6% with medication after consulting your doctor. Mixing MucoClear 6% with medication cannot be ruled out. Chemical interactions that could affect the effectiveness of the treatment may occur when mixing MucoClear 6% with medication.
There is no data available on the inhalation of hypertonic saline solution during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this inhalation solution.
Method of administration:
Inhalation with a jet nebulizer, ultrasonic nebulizer, or membrane nebulizer. Follow the instructions for use of the nebulizer used.
Application temperature:
Room temperature.
Dosage:
One ampoule (4 ml) 2 to 4 times daily as needed.
Side effects:
When inhaling saline solutions, patients with a hypersensitive bronchial system (e.g., asthma) may experience shortness of breath due to temporary bronchial constriction. In this case or if other adverse effects occur, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage:
Do not use opened or damaged ampoules or discolored or cloudy solutions. Since no preservatives are contained, opened ampoules must be disposed of immediately for hygiene reasons. The inhalation solution must be disposed of after the expiration date.
